Tual city info
Tual and Langgur are twin cities that are connected by a bridge and they make up the capital cities of the Kai islands as a major transportation hub. The Hanging Bridge is the main attraction in the twin cities and it acts as a link between Langgur and Fair Island. The clear waters around the cities make for great swimming and the marine life is vibrant with many species of fish to be spotted, even from the bridge.
The tourist amenities are pretty standard but better than a lot of places in Indonesia. There is little in the way of tourist attractions and not an abundance of things to do, and most people visit these towns at the start of their journey either by boat or plane. The island itself is made from a coral reef that has emerged from the sea to form an island and the majority of the inhabitants are Muslim.
