Gunung Sitoli is the capital city of Nias regency, North Sumatra province, Indonesia. It is a coastal city located on Nias island. Nias island is located in the Indian Ocean, on the west part of Sumatra, Indonesia. This quiet town makes a good base to explore the island's natural tropical beauty. The tribes of Nias are also known for their colorful dances in which they don feathers and traditional costumes and demonstrate war actions and stone jumping - participants leap over stones that measure two meters or more in height.
