Etihad Airways is the second-largest carrier in the United Arab Emirates, serving many destinations across Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Pacific. The airline offers 4 different ticket classes – Economy, Business, First, and The Residence. Etihad Guest, Etihad Airways’ frequent flyers program, rewards passengers with miles every time they fly with Etihad or one of their partner airlines.
In 2016 Etihad was awarded 5-star airline status on Skytrax, but in 2019 this score was downgraded to 4 stars. According to numerous travelers, Etihad service quality declined recently, as the airline started charging for premium drinks and snacks, and stripped short-haul aircraft of in-seat screens to save on fuel costs. Despite this, there is no doubt that Etihad has one of the best premium cabins in the industry, including the elegant and spacious First Class Apartment, and The Residence – a unique class not seen with any other commercial airline.
