Bombardier Global 8000 wins UK approval for London City — nonstop access to central London

The UK Civil Aviation Authority cleared the Bombardier Global 8000 for operations at London City Airport on 10 September 2026, unlocking nonstop ultra-long-range business jet access from Singapore, Los Angeles, Honolulu, and Buenos Aires directly into central London. The approval eliminates up to 90 minutes of ground transfer time compared with satellite airports like Farnborough or Luton, compressing the total journey for private aviation users who value speed and proximity to the financial district. The clearance is contingent on the aircraft meeting London City’s steep-approach and noise-abatement requirements. Operators must confirm their specific aircraft is on the airport’s authorised list before scheduling, as access remains controlled.

Vista sees private jet demand surge 32% in China, deploying Global 8000s in key markets

Greater China private flight activity at Vista surged 32% in 2025, outpacing the 25% growth across Asia-Pacific, as the company’s Hong Kong–Shanghai corridor became its busiest regional route and Hong Kong demand alone jumped 35%. The expansion is being fueled by a structural increase in ultra-high-net-worth individuals and cross-border corporate travel, not a post-pandemic rebound. The carrier is deploying its flagship Bombardier Global 8000 into the Shanghai and Hong Kong markets to serve nonstop intercontinental demand. With a limited fleet and rising charter interest, locking in capacity before late-2026 price adjustments is now a strategic imperative.

Vista touts China’s private jet boom with new Global 8000 tour amid 32% traffic surge

Vista is touring its new flagship Bombardier Global 8000 through Hong Kong and Shanghai, backed by data showing 32% annual flight traffic growth in Greater China from 2024 to 2025 and a 35% surge in Hong Kong demand alone. The ultra-long-range jet — capable of flying 8,000 nautical miles nonstop — anchors Vista's argument that Greater China is entering a sustained phase of business aviation expansion, not a cyclical uptick. Access is through VistaJet's subscription model or XO's on-demand platform, which launched in Asia in October 2025. Hong Kong–Shanghai has emerged as one of Vista's top three regional routes, and cross-continental demand between Asia, Europe, and North America has held firm.

Vista reports 32% surge in China private jet demand, enabling nonstop Asia-US travel

Private aviation demand across China is accelerating at a pace that signals a structural shift, with Vista reporting a 32% jump in annual flight traffic across Greater China and a 35% surge in Hong Kong-originating demand. The operator has deployed the ultra-long-range Bombardier Global 8000 in the region, enabling nonstop private travel between Asia and the West for the first time. The figures, while company-reported, align with broader wealth trends — and the introduction of the Global 8000 means nonstop Asia–US private travel is now a reality, tightening availability on key corridors like Hong Kong–Shanghai.

VistaJet sees 32% surge in Greater China private jet demand, fueling expansion with new Global 8000s

VistaJet parent Vista reports that annual private flight traffic across Greater China surged 32% from 2024 to 2025, with Asia-Pacific overall up 25% over the same period. Demand originating from Hong Kong alone climbed 35%, and Hong Kong–Shanghai has emerged as one of Vista's three busiest regional routes — alongside Hong Kong–Tokyo. The company is backing the expansion with its newly introduced Bombardier Global 8000, an ultra-long-range aircraft capable of 8,000 nautical miles nonstop, and the October 2025 launch of XO in Asia for on-demand booking access. The growth reflects a structural shift in Greater China's ultra-high-net-worth travel patterns, not a cyclical rebound. Cross-continental demand between Asia, Europe, and North America held firm through 2025, signaling durable corporate and executive appetite for flexible long-range lift.

London pizzeria Napoli on the Road unseats New York for world’s best pizza title

London has seized the title of world's best pizza. Napoli on the Road, a West London pizzeria that began as a three-wheeled cart, claimed the No. 1 spot in the 2026 50 Top Pizza global ranking, unseating New York's Una Pizza Napoletana (now No. 2) and Milan's Confine (No. 3). The list, drawn from nearly 1,000 anonymous inspectors across 36 countries, places a former mobile operation at the centre of international pizza pilgrimage. The result breaks a recent pattern of top honours staying in Italy or New York. With Italy still holding 31 spots and the U.S. 22, the London win signals a widening geography of elite craft pizza. Reservations at the Chiswick and Soho locations are expected to tighten sharply as food-focused travellers recalibrate their itineraries.
