What is cabin and checked baggage allowance for domestic flights?

You will find checked baggage allowance regulations for each of the airlines below:

Garuda Indonesia

Cabin: Passengers are permitted to carry 1 piece of cabin baggage, which must have a maximum length 56 cm, width 36 cm and depth 23 cm. Additionally, passengers can carry small items like handbags or laptops. Please note that the total weight of all cabin baggage cannot exceed 7 kg.

Checked: Passengers are permitted to take up to 30 kg of check-in baggage (for exclusive class) and up to 20 kg (for economy class). Garuda Indonesia offers all passengers a complimentary sports equipment baggage allowance of 23 kg (except golf equipment max 15 kg) for such items as surfboards, golf clubs and fold-up or mountain bikes, but they must inform the airline at least 48 hours before departure.

AirAsia Indonesia

Cabin: Passengers are permitted to carry 1 piece of cabin baggage, which must have a maximum length 56 cm, width 36 cm and depth 23 cm. In addition, passengers are allowed to carry 1 laptop bag or 1 handbag. The weight cannot exceed 7 kg.

Checked: Passengers are permitted to take up to 15kg of check-in baggage. But if you take more than 15kg, you will be charged a fee at different rates depending on the weight and the airport from which you fly. We suggest you to buy the additional kgs online (during the ticket booking process) than on the airport.

Batik Air

Cabin: Passengers are permitted to carry 1 piece of cabin baggage, which must have a maximum length 40 cm, width 30 cm, and depth 20 cm; the sum of the three dimensions shall not exceed 115 cm or weight of 7 kg.

Checked: Passengers are permitted to take 1 piece of check-in baggage up to 20 kg (for economy class) or up to 30 kg (for business class). Batik Air accepts bicycles, surfboards, golf clubs or diving gear at no extra charge.

Lion Air

Cabin: Passengers are permitted to carry 1 piece of check-in baggage, which must have a maximum length 40 cm, width 30 cm and depth 20 cm. Please note that the sum of those three dimensions shall not exceed 115 cm or weight of 7 kg.

Checked: Passengers are permitted to take 1 piece of baggage up to 15 kg (for business class) and 10 kg (for economy class). Surf boards and bicycle are commonly accepted at no extra cost.

Citilink

Cabin: Passengers are permitted to carry 1 piece of cabin baggage, which must have a maximum length 56 cm, width 36 cm and depth 23 cm. Additionally, passengers can carry small items like handbags or laptops. Please note that the total weight of all cabin baggage cannot exceed 7 kg.

Checked: Passengers are permitted to take 1 piece of baggage up to 15 kg.

Sriwijaya Air

You are allowed to bring maximum 20 kg baggage for all destinations except Tanjung Pinang – Jakarta (15 kg). Excess baggage will be charged as per existing rule.

Nam Air

You are allowed to bring maximum 20 kg of checked baggage and 5 kg of hand baggage. Excess baggage will be charged as per existing rules.

Wings Air

You are allowed to bring maximum 10 kilograms of checked baggage and 5 kilograms of hand baggage. Excess baggage will be charged as per existing rule.

Kalstar

You are allowed to bring maximum 10 kilograms of checked baggage and 5 kilograms of hand baggage. Excess baggage will be charged as per existing rule.
