Booking FAQ
What is the booking code?
Once your booking is complete using our speedy online service, we will assign an unique booking code. The code is made up of 4-5 characters with the combination of letters and numbers eg. HEJ56, G6YH, also shown on the sidebar during the booking process.
Upon completion, we will send out a confirmation email and SMS showing your unique booking code. Our operators will easily identify your order with the designated booking code if you need to contact our support staff further with queries or concerns.
Do I need to reconfirm my flight?
No. Reconfirming a flight was needed in the old days. These days, the airlines don’t need you to tell them you’re coming – they assume you are. But it’s always a good idea to make sure your flight is departing according to the itinerary. The airlines have a really bad habit of changing their flight schedules or, at worst, completely removing a flight, sometimes at the last minute.
To check if there are no surprises with your flight, you should visit the airline’s website on a day of departure and check the flight status. Don’t forget to verify your flight number and departure date and time. You can also phone the airline directly.
Can I have a window seat?
Seat preferences such as the window seat are not available during the booking process. Seat allocation is part of the check-in, and for some routes can be done by a passenger if he/she is chooses to check-in online on the Garuda website. If the seat assign is not available during the online check-in, try to arrive early at the airport and ask for the window seat at the Garuda check-in coutner - although it is always subject to availability
How To Check My Booking Status?
Basically, there is no need for you to enquire about your booking status - we always keep you informed by sending you 2-3 emails at the each stage the booking process. The final e-mail will contain your e-ticket.
But if you want to contact us regarding your booking status, please look first for the Booking Code in an e-mail from us (4-5 characters with the combination of letters and numbers eg. Do you accept group bookings?
Yes, we do accept group bookings for large groups wishing to travel together. Garuda Indonesia's group booking regulations may vary from time to time. In general, discount offers are available for group bookings of 10 or more passengers.

Child/Infant Baggage Allowance
Garuda Indonesia offers extra facilities when you are travelling with children.You are allowed to bring an extra checked bag of 20 kilos per child in Economy Class, and an extra 30 kilos if you are travelling in Business or First Class. For infants younger than 2 years, you may bring an extra checked bag of 10 kilos.
You are also welcome to bring a stroller/pushchair or a basket to carry your infant in, providing it can be folded and stowed in the passenger cabin. If you are on time, you can also request a baby-cradle once you’re on board. Garuda Indonesia also has special arrangements for sporting equipment, such as a surfboards or a bikes where the first 15 kilos are free of charge. Child/Infant Ticket Fares
Garuda Indonesia offers different price-brackets for tickets for infants and young children. The charge for an infant younger than 2 years at the time of travel is usually 10% of an the adult ticket fare.The infant must sit with a parent or guardian. As part of Garuda Indonesia’s service, special children’s menus can be reserved 24 hours in advance via Customer Service.

Ticket Changes / Refunds / Cancellations
TICKETS FLEXIBILITY
In accordance to ticket flexibility for Garuda Indonesia flights purchased via our website, specific airline rules and conditions still apply. Refunds
Due to unforeseen circumstances if you or your travelling party are unable to use purchased tickets, Garuda Indonesia will issue refunds, however applicable fare rules, restrictions and conditions apply. Please note, if a refund is requested 24 hours after flight purchase, 50% to 95% of the basic fare will be refunded to recipient, depending on the sub class of ticket. Between 24 hours and 72 hours of flight cancellation, 35% to 75% of the basic fare will be refunded and 10% to 75% will be refunded up to 72 hours, determined by specific sub class. Refund requests also incur an administration airline fee of IDR 150000 and up to 3% from the basic fare.

Cancellations
It is possible to cancel a Garuda Indonesia flight purchased via our website. Please contact our Customer Care at (+62) 81 22444 0000 to arrange booking cancellation. Garuda Indonesia will issue refunds upon cancellation, however applicable fare rules, restrictions and conditions apply.
Please note, if ticket is cancelled 48 hours or more before flight departure, 10% to 90% will deducted from the ticket price and issued back to the recipient in the form of a refund. Within 48 hours before flight departure, 35% to 90% will be deducted and cancellations less than 48 hours will have 35% to 95% deducted from the original ticket price and issued back in the form of a refund. All conditions applied will depend on the sub class of ticket.

Name / Time Changes
Please note, we are unable to make a name or time change to an existing flight booking made with Garuda Indonesia airlines. Customers will need to cancel their existing flight ticket, request a refund and purchase a new ticket via the our website. For flight cancellations leading to a refund, applicable fare rules, restrictions and conditions apply.

Upgrades
If you would like to make an upgrade to Business (Executive) or First Class to an already purchased flight booking, please contact our Customer Care line as soon as possible at (+62) 81 22444 0000 and inform our team of the specific upgrade change. Our Customer Care Team will notify Garuda Indonesia of the upgrade change and will then directly contact you, confirming the amendment. Please note, fees will apply to make a flight upgrade as instructed by Garuda Indonesia airlines.
The upgrade price difference and change fee are required to be transferred to our bank account by the nominated period advised by Customer Care, for the changes to be processed and verified.
