Transportation from Kualanamu International Airport to Medan City Center

Travelers arriving at Kualanamu International Airport in Medan have several public transportation options available for reaching the city center and beyond. Those options are the following.

1. Train

Kualanamu International Airport is the first and only airport in Indonesia to operate an airport train. The train station is located in front of the arrivals terminal, and the train travels one route from the terminal to Kota Medan. The airport train costs 100,000 Rp for one-way travel per person. The ride from the airport to the city center takes roughly 45 minutes, and WiFi is available.

2. Damri Bus

Damri buses can be found in the parking lot in front of the Kualanamu International Airport arrivals terminal. Numerous bus routes can be used to access downtown Medan and its surrounding areas. They are the following.

These taxis are equipped with meters, and rides to different areas of Medan cost between 150,000 Rp and 200,000 Rp. Numerous unofficial taxis also operate at the airport with private vehicles. The fare for an unofficial taxi is always negotiable.






Transportation from Bandung City Center to Husein Sastranegara International Airport

Travelers flying out of Husein Sastranegara International Airport have several modes of public transportation available for reaching the airport from the city center of Bandung. They are the following.

1. Taxi

Any taxi in the city of Bandung and its surrounding areas can be used to access the airport. Commercial taxis are always permitted to take passengers to the airport, but they can not pick them up there. The commercial taxis in Bandung are equipped with meters, and the fare is determined by the distance traveled to the airport.

2. Damri Bus

Damri buses can also be used to reach the airport. There is only one Damri bus route to the airport, which travels along the route: Terminal Bandung - Husein Sastranegara International Airport. The fare is 15,000 Rp per person.

3. City Transport

One of Bandung’s most affordable transportation options is the network of minibuses, or angkots, that travel throughout the city and nearby areas. You’ll need to board the minibus along the route: Halteu Andir – Cibogo Atas, angkot Ciroyom – Cicaheum, angkot Ciroyom – Sarijadi, angkot Ciroyom – Ciburial, angkot Ciroyom – Lembang. The angkot will not stop directly at the airport, so you’ll have to take a short walk from where you exit the angkot to the airport entrance.

4. Trains

You may also take the train from Hall Station in downtown Bandung to Andir Station, which is just 200 meters from the entrance of Husein Sastranegara International Airport.
