Transportation from Ambon City Center to Pattimura Airport

Travelers flying out of Pattimura Airport have several public transportation options available for reaching the airport from the city center, including:

1. Taxi

Taxis can be used to access the airport from anywhere in Ambon and its surrounding areas. A cab to the airport typically costs between 150,000 Rp and 200,000 Rp. However, this cost does not include the fee for the ferry, which allows you to reach the airport faster. If you do not wish to take the ferry, the taxi will travel around the Bay of Ambon, which adds another 30 minutes to the trip.

2. Damri bus

A Damri bus route is also available for transportation to the airport. The route, from Merdeka Square in downtown Ambon to Pattimura Airport, costs 25,000 Rp per person. The bus departs Merdeka Square every day at 4:30 a.m., 9 a.m., and 1 p.m. The bus takes the following route: Merdeka Square -> Swalayan Citra -> Batu Merah -> Galala -> Halong -> Lateri -> Passo -> Nania -> Waiheru -> Poka -> Rumah Tiga -> Wayame -> Hative Besar -> Pattimura Airport.

3. Bus

Travelers can also take the bus from Ambon’s Mardika Terminal to Hattu. This route costs 7,000 Rp per person each way.

4. Ojeks

Motorcycle taxis are also available for transportation to the airport. The 38-kilometer-long route from the city center to the airport costs 75,000 Rp.
