AWAS, a global leader in commercial aircraft leasing, has announced the agreement with Lion Air for four aircrafts: 737-800s in an amount of 3 and one A320.
All the new aircrafts will get under Lion Air’s wings on long-term leases. Rusdi Kirana, president director of Lion Group, seems to be very pleased with this milestone.
He explains that “AWAS team has proved that they operate a very customer-centric and flexible model, focused on helping Lion Air with planned expansion and growth across the group. AWAS took the time to understand our unique business model and provide the flexibility we require”.
For Lion Air clients the agreement between the airline and AWAS mean new local connections. So far, there is no information about the schedule modifications though.
Lion Air is one of the most popular and the largest privately run airline in Indonesia. Established in October 1999, since beginning was rapidly expanding its fleet.
