As a tourist on my first visit to Indonesia, I was skeptical to fly on an airline I didn’t know. However, a lot of the travelers I met suggested I fly with Batik, so I decided to give it a try. The check-in process was a breeze, my flight was already at the gate when I arrived, and my bags were practically at the turnstile before I was off the plane. I was actually surprised at how flawlessly the flight went and how comfortable the cabin was for the affordable price of my ticket

In early December of 2015, I booked a flight on Batik Air from Yogyakarta to Jakarta. I couldn’t believe the price of my ticket was even cheaper than Lion Air, which is the airline I typically use on this flight. Lion Air has disappointed me countless times with delayed and canceled flights. Batik Air was just the opposite. The plane was new and comfortable, it departed and arrived on time, and I even received a complimentary meal and drink in-flight.
