TAP Air Portugal is the national airline of Portugal and one of Europe’s oldest and most respected carriers. It is also a member of Star Alliance, the largest global airline network. When you fly with TAP Air Portugal, you can expect high-quality service, a modern fleet, a diverse entertainment system, and delicious cuisine inspired by Portuguese flavors.

Is TAP Air Portugal economy comfortable?

TAP Air Portugal’s economy seats are designed to provide comfort and convenience for long-haul flights. They have adjustable headrests, reclining backs, USB ports and personal screens with hundreds of movies, TV shows, games and music. You can also use your own device to access the entertainment system via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

The seats have a pitch of 31 inches and a width of 17 inches. They are covered with soft fabric and have ample storage space for your belongings. You can also enjoy complimentary meals, snacks, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The meals are prepared with fresh ingredients and reflect Portuguese gastronomy.

What is the baggage allowance?

TAP Air Portugal’s baggage allowance depends on your fare type, destination, and frequent flyer status.

In general, Economy passengers can bring one carry-on bag up to 8 kg and one personal item up to 2 kg.

EconomyXtra passengers can also bring one checked bag up to 23 kg.

Executive and TAP Plus passengers can bring two carry-on bags up to 8 kg each, one personal item up to 2 kg and two checked bags up to 32 kg each.

You can choose from three plans: Messaging (3 EUR), Browse (10 EUR) or Stream (20 EUR). Messaging allows you to send and receive text messages and use social media apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. Browse lets you surf the web, check emails and use online maps such as Google Maps. Stream gives you access to video streaming services such as Netflix and YouTube.
