Citilink is a low-cost subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia based on Juando International Airport in Surabaya. It provides cheap shuttle services between the main Indonesian cities and is operated by Garuda Indonesia. Citilink started in 2001 with some leftover Fokker F28 of Garuda but was not succesful and ceased operations in January 2008. Eight months later, with an investment of $10 million Citilink restarted with a new format and services and newer and bigger aircrafts.
At the moment Citilink flies to 8 destinations with 5 aircrafts, four Boeing 737-300 with 148 seats and one Boeing 737-400 with 170 seats. The maintenance is according to the same standards as its parent Garuda and is carried out by Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia in Cengkareng, Jakarta.

Citilink flight reservations and online booking
Citilink ticket reservation process takes only a few minutes - it is very easy to book the flight online. When paying by credit card, credit card owners are required to participate in the flights booked. It is also possible to make a payment by bank transfer (BCA, Mandiri, BRI, BII, BNI). Bookings will be accepted up until 6 hours before the intended departure time. The e-ticket will be sent by email - you just need to print it out and take it with you to the airport.

Almost on every Citilink flight there are seats that are offered at special promo prices. The earlier in advance you book your ticket, the bigger chance is that you will be charged the promo price. Citilink group bookings
Citilink provides services for groups of travellers (minimum 10 people). Ticket prices are determined by the Citilink itself - please contact Tiket2 Customer Service for more information. Bookings are accepted up to 24 hours before the departure time, assuming there are seats still available and the payment has been made in full. After the flight plan of your entourage is set, it is not allowed to change the plan (except the change of name - IDR 50,000 fee applies). There are no refunds for cancellations after the order has been made.
Citilink check in at the airport
Check in desks at the airport open two hours before the departure time and close 30 minutes before. Passengers who arrive less than 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time will not be accepted and thus lose their rights to seats, and no refunds will be given. All passengers are advised to report at the airport at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure time. Citilink requires all passengers to show identity cards with photos. The list of identity cards that are accepted for Citilink check in:
- Valid passport
- National identity card (KTP) with a valid photo
- Driving licence with a valid photo
- Student card with a valid photo
- Student card with a valid photo
- Army ID card with a valid photo
- Warrant / police badge
- Airport employee security identity pass
- A child on parent's passport is an acceptable form of ID
Upon check-in, each Passenger will be given a Boarding Pass with a queue number for boarding. Boarding sequence is based on the queue number. Passengers are free to locate their own seats once they are onboard of the airplane.
Citilink baggage allowance
Each passenger is allowed to bring into the cabin 1 standard bag with a maximum weight of 7 kg and the size of 50x36x15cm. Baggage which does not comply with the standard weight and/or dimension must be checked. The fee for Checked Baggage is IDR 5,000 per kg. There is no free baggage for infant. In addition, passengers can take with them into the cabin small items such as handbags, ladies handbags, jackets, umbrellas, laptops, and cameras. For each baggage that does not meet the above standards there will be a fee applied.
Free of charge limit for check in baggage on Citilink flights is 20 kg per passenger. The maximum weight of check in luggage is 32 kg per item. You are allowed to check in more than one piece. Infants have no right to any free of charge baggage. The following items will be charged an additional fee:
- windsurfing boards, surfboards, paraglides (per item: IDR 100,000)
- folding carts, pushchairs, bassinets, car seats for babies, folding wheelchairs (per item IDR 50,000)
- golf bags (per item: IDR 100,000)
- musical instruments (per item: IDR 100,000)
Passengers who have purchased Citilink tickets and then have found a cheaper ticket for the same flight, can not receive a refund for the difference. It is possible to request a refund in the exceptional circumstances, including death or serious health problems (a reasonable evidence must be shown though). Refunds must be submitted within seven days subsequent to the intended flight. An administration fee of IDR 50,000 per passenger per sector will be charged. In the case of a cancelled flight, Citilink refunds the full ticket price - including taxes, insurance, and even certain expenses.
Change of passenger's name
Passengers names can only be changed once, by paying a fee of IDR 50,000 per passenger per flight each way, up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time for the flight. You should contact the Call Center (0-804-1-080808) to make the necessary changes.
Changes to the date and time of the flight
Date and time of your flight can be changed just one time, up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure, provided vacant seats are still available. A charge per passenger per flight each way applies (IDR 200,000). Please contact Contact Center (0-804-1-080808) to make the necessary changes. Please note, that if the ticket price for your new flight is higher, you will be asked to pay the difference. However, if the price of the ticket for the new flights is cheaper, you will not receive a refund.
Delayed and cancelled flights
Citilink operates point-to-point flights only and does not operate a connecting flight service. If you have onward flights in your itinerary, you will need to pick-up your luggage and check-in with your luggage for onward flight. Allow ample time for connection with other flights. Citilink is not liable for any misconnections, either between Citilink flights or between Citilink and other carrier flights, and will not provide any compensation whatsoever. Note that Passenger must pay all applicable airport taxes separately.
Passenger older than 12 years is an adult, between 2 and 12 is a child and a passenger under 2 years are called infant. Children aged 2-12 years: Ticket prices are 75% of the normal ticket price. Children must be accompanied by adults older than 17 years. Infants aged less than two years (at time of travel): Ticket prices are only 10% of the normal price, with the provisions that the baby will sit on an adult's lap. Infants under the age of two weeks are not permitted to travel.
